To Get Organized

OK 9am Wednesday. I have got to organized my teaching stuff. I go thru this every June. Got up made coffee, toast. Sat down turned on lap top and tv. Breaking news. Deleted all last years folders. Still a pile of papers, books and learning games in my office and bedroom. I have been trying to clean this house since last week and I only have until this Saturday. It's good that the weather is cloudy and crummy. But why do we have such a hard time throwing stuff away? I have saved little scraps of paper kids in my classes have gifted me. I have saved Education articles since 1983. This stuff is so outdated, and is probably available on the internet. I am convinced the reason why this place sounds like a TB ward is because we have so many chachkies covered with dust (not to mention 2 cats, 2 dogs and 3 peeps) I've got to go get organized. NOW

  1. You know the drill....get a few baskets or boxes....label one TRASH...one "GIVE AWAY (to someone or thrift shop, etc.)....and one KEEP. Then start sorting. Also helpful to have a separate box in which you can put stuff that goes to other rooms of the house. When that fills up, GOOD exercise to walk quickly from room-to-room and put those items where they belong (or at least in the RIGHT rooms). You can make a good dent by doing all of that.
